Sr. AP Billing Coordinator

Regular Full-Time

Position Overview

The Senior Billing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing billing processes and activities. This position requires experience in billing and accounts receivable, along with strong problem-solving skills. The Senior Billing Coordinator also helps to train new billing coordinators, ensures timely and accurate billing, and addresses complex billing issues.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the billing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve invoices and billing transactions prepared by the billing team.
  • Collaborate with the finance leadership team to develop and implement billing process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and finance, to address billing-related inquiries and issues.
  • Resolve complex billing discrepancies and disputes, working closely with customers or clients.
  • Monitor billing performance and key metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
  • Conduct regular training for the billing team.
  • Prepare and present billing-related reports and analysis to management.
  • Ensure that billing records and documentation are maintained accurately and securely.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of billing information.
  • Participate in month-end billing close activities and financial reporting as needed.

Key Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related field.
  • Knowledge of billing principles, processes, and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with billing software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
The compensation range for this position is:
$27$30 USD
