Residuals Clerk
Temporary, Monday - Friday

Position Overview
The Residuals Clerk sorts and ships Residual Checks to various Guild(s), maintains residual check log and retains delivery slip records. This position may include assisting with data processing of residual setups and adjustments.

Responsibilities

  • Timely sorting of Residual Checks and Invoices and packaging to appropriate Guild(s).
  • Maintain Tracking Log for all outgoing checks and incoming delivery slips.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and maintain an organized workstation.
  • Assist with Residual Adjustments and Data Entry of Residual Setups when required.
  • Printing of Residual Invoices and match to Residual Checks.
  • Log and package checks to send with driver for Guild delivery.
  • Log and scan all income Delivery Slip(s) for Guild(s) verification.
  • Assist with Adjustments; answer talent calls and emails, process stop reissues, pay histories, beneficiaries, research payment when required.
  • Assist with Data Entry on Setups, when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in customer service, data entry, or accounting/payroll required.
  • Tech-savvy – must be skilled at learning and adapting to new systems and software applications (e.g. must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, with excellent Excel skills).
  • Must be able to handle high volume of work with the high accuracy.
  • Highly detail-oriented with ability to interpret and/or handle confidential information.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively - including active listening, written and oral comprehension - with all levels of staff, management, and clients as needed.
  • Great with numbers - comprehensive mathematical knowledge and abilities required.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task effectively to meet firm deadlines.
  • Highly organized – documentation, filing, logging, and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Previous experience in client-facing or customer service a plus.
  • Previous entertainment residuals, royalties, payroll or accounting experience a major plus.
  • Eager and willing to learn new job functions.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
The compensation range for this position is:
$21$22 USD
