Position Overview:

What if you could use your experience to develop a suite of products that revolutionize the back-office operations of the entertainment industry? Our digital solutions covering Accounting & Financials, Payroll & HR, Metrics & Insights, Content & Collaboration are designed to fuel creativity and help entertainment projects run as efficiently as possible. That's why we're looking for a VP of Product to take on the challenge of maturing our Production Accounting Solutions at Cast and Crew on our journey to transform a historically manual workflow industry.

In this role, you will lead the discovery, planning, development, and execution of your product strategy to meet the company's goals and objectives and will oversee the entire product lifecycle for new and our existing financial products for Record to Report and Procure to Pay phases of the Production Accounting Experience spanning Feature Film, TV, Streaming, Commercials, Live Entertainment and Music Tours.

This strategic position will also provide mentorship, guidance, and training to other members of the product team, and work cross-functionally with the VP of Product for Payroll Solutions to drive the strategic direction of our product suite and influence product growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing product lifecycles, understanding customer needs, and driving product success.

On a day-to-day basis you will work to support and level-up the Product Managers on the team while establishing and educating the organization on best practices. You will work cross-functionally with your peers in UX and Engineering and report into the Chief Product Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in line with the company's strategic goals.
  • Customer Insight: Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring products meet and exceed customer needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and marketing, to deliver high-quality products to market on time.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation, through development, launch, and retirement. Lead large-scale, cross-functional product initiatives including related system integrations. Prioritize and manage an agile backlog of product enhancements and be able to adapt quickly to a demanding and constantly changing environment.
  • Market Analysis: Stay on top of market trends, competitor products, and potential opportunities/threats to ensure our products remain competitive.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics, usability studies, and market research to drive product direction and define an effective roadmap.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate product plans, benefits, and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences, from internal stakeholders to external partners.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong execution-focus and ability to create an actionable plan amongst a certain degree of ambiguity
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Product Development Lifecycle with the ability to proactively suggest process improvements that drive efficiency and quality
  • Effective at leading through influence across multiple competing stakeholder groups with superior communication skills, both written and presented
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for a business audience
  • Technical familiarity and/or ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of asset management principles such as data indexing, OCR, platform integrations, and cloud storage across variety of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS)

Experience Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience leading Product Teams with multiple direct reports.
  • Enterprise SaaS Product Management experience with a proven track record of successful launches
  • Working knowledge of accounting
  • Working knowledge of Entertainment industry highly preferred
  • Experience working with Pendo or similar adoption metrics tracking system highly preferred

Performance Metrics:

  • Customer adoption and satisfaction (Customer Effort Score, NPS).
  • System Usability Scale (SUS) Scores
  • Delivery of release commitments on a quarterly basis.
  • Timely execution of strategic initiatives.

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: - per year.
