Position Overview

Cast & Crew is hiring its first VP, Demand Generation, a signal that we're serious about building a modern, data-driven marketing engine to match the momentum of our sales organization. This is a builder role. You won't inherit a team or a playbook. You'll create both.

We're looking for someone who is bold with positioning, precise with data, and relentless about pipeline. You understand that great demand generation in a relationship-driven industry like entertainment requires more than automation and ad spend. It requires sharp messaging, impeccable timing, and a deep understanding of how production companies, studios, and live entertainment organizations actually make buying decisions.

This role spans Cast & Crew's full portfolio. Film, Television & Streaming is the primary demand generation focus and where the largest growth opportunity sits, but this VP will also support Live Entertainment, our Advertising segment, and Final Draft's B2B business, bringing the same rigor and creativity to each as those segments warrant.

What You'll Do

Pipeline and Inbound Generation

  • Own the demand generation strategy across the full funnel, from first touch to sales-ready lead, with clear accountability for pipeline contribution targets across Film, Television & Streaming, Live Entertainment, Advertising, and Final Draft B2B
  • Design and execute integrated campaigns across paid, organic, email, and content channels that generate qualified inbound leads from studios, mini-majors, production companies, independent producers, live entertainment operators, and advertising production clients
  • Build and manage the paid media program in partnership with external ad agencies, serving as Cast & Crew's primary point of contact, setting strategy, holding agencies accountable to performance, and optimizing spend toward pipeline, not impressions
  • Identify and capitalize on timely industry moments including award seasons, production cycles, guild negotiations, greenlight surges, festival seasons, and live event calendars to launch campaigns that capture attention when buyers are most receptive
  • Prioritize investment and effort across business units based on pipeline opportunity, segment maturity, and revenue impact, knowing when to lean in and when to maintain presence

Positioning and Messaging

  • Develop sharp, differentiated messaging for each segment that cuts through in a competitive market, production-world-native, compelling to finance and operations leaders, and distinct enough to earn attention
  • Translate new product capabilities and service expansions into go-to-market programs that drive awareness and adoption across the full Cast & Crew portfolio
  • Partner with segment sales leaders to ensure campaign messaging maps directly to the conversations their teams are having in the field across FTVS, Live Entertainment, and beyond

Website and Conversion

  • Own the website as Cast & Crew's highest-leverage demand asset, driving continuous improvement in traffic, conversion rate, and lead quality across all segments and audiences
  • Lead SEO and GEO strategy to ensure Cast & Crew and its portfolio brands are findable and preferred when buyers are actively searching
  • Build and optimize landing pages, conversion paths, and lead capture experiences tied to campaigns, product launches, and segment-specific initiatives

CRM, Data and Marketing Operations

  • Build and manage lead workflows, nurture cadences, and lifecycle automation within Salesforce or HubSpot, ensuring leads across all business units are routed, scored, and followed up with precision
  • Partner with GTM Operations to maintain a clean, reliable marketing data foundation and align on shared pipeline and funnel metrics
  • Monitor lead analytics relentlessly, tracking source performance, conversion rates, and campaign ROI by segment, and use that data to pivot fast when something isn't working
  • Build reporting that gives sales leadership clear visibility into marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue across each business unit

Team and Vendor Building

  • Start as a senior individual contributor and progressively build the team, identifying where to hire full-time versus engage trusted contractors for web, content strategy, social, and creative
  • Bring a network of vetted specialists you can activate quickly so the function scales without waiting on headcount approvals
  • Establish the processes, toolstack, and operating rhythm that a growing demand gen team can run on

What You'll Bring

  • 8 to 12 years of B2B demand generation experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role owning pipeline contribution targets
  • Proven track record of building demand gen programs from an early stage, starting with limited resources and creating something that scaled
  • Experience marketing across multiple products, segments, or brands simultaneously, comfortable prioritizing effort and investment based on where the opportunity is greatest
  • Deep expertise across the full demand gen toolkit including paid media, SEO/GEO, email and nurture programs, content marketing, webinars, and event-driven campaigns
  • Strong CRM fluency, able to build workflows, lead scoring models, and nurture cadences in Salesforce or HubSpot without waiting for someone else to do it
  • Data-first mindset with the ability to read funnel data and make fast, defensible decisions based on what the numbers are telling you
  • Experience managing agency relationships and holding external partners accountable to pipeline outcomes, not vanity metrics
  • A gift for messaging, writing with clarity and edge, understanding that in a niche, relationship-driven industry, generic copy is invisible
  • Experience in entertainment, media, production services, SaaS, or a complex B2B services environment is strongly preferred
  • A network of contractors and specialists across web, content, social, and creative that you can bring in when the work demands it
  • Comfortable operating as a senior IC while simultaneously building the foundations of a scalable team

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year.
