THE ROLE
The Director, Talent Acquisition is a pivotal leadership role responsible for defining, executing, and continuously optimizing the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for Certinia globally or across major business units. This role leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing team of Recruiters and Sourcers, ensuring the attraction, engagement, and hiring of top-tier talent across all levels, from entry-level to Principal and potentially executive positions. The Director, Talent Acquisition is a strategic partner to executive leadership, driving innovative talent solutions that directly support the company's aggressive growth objectives and competitive advantage.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
Strategic Talent Acquisition Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, scalable, and innovative talent acquisition strategy aligned with the company's long-term business goals, workforce planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives.
- Forecast future talent needs and proactively build pipelines, programs, and processes to meet evolving demands across all functions (e.g., R&D, Sales, Customer Operations, G&A).
- Partner directly with C-suite executives and senior leadership to understand strategic priorities and translate them into actionable talent acquisition plans and initiatives in partnership with the People Business Partner Leadership team.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, inspire, and manage a global talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Provide strategic mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities for all team members, ensuring their growth and progression within the career framework.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement strategies for individual and team success.
Operational Excellence & Process Optimization:
- Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, ensuring efficient, effective, and compliant processes from requisition creation to offer acceptance and onboarding handover.
- Drive the selection, implementation, and optimization of recruitment technologies (ATS, sourcing tools, AI capabilities) to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and candidate experience.
- Develop and manage the Talent Acquisition budget, optimizing resource allocation and demonstrating ROI.
- Establish and maintain reports on key recruitment metrics, providing data-driven insights to leadership and continuously refining strategies based on performance analysis.
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience:
- Champion and evolve the company's employer brand strategy, ensuring a compelling and consistent narrative across all recruitment touchpoints.
- Design and implement best-in-class candidate experience initiatives, positioning Certinia as an employer of choice.
- Oversee university relations, diversity recruiting programs, and other strategic talent initiatives.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence:
- Collaborate extensively with People Business Partners, Compensation, Legal, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless talent integration and alignment with broader People strategies.
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert on labor market trends, talent intelligence, and competitive compensation.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role managing a team of recruiters and/or sourcers.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable talent acquisition strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth, or complex organizational environment (e.g., tech, multi-business unit). Experience recruiting for different global labor markets required.
- Demonstrated expertise in all facets of recruitment, including executive search, strategic sourcing, advanced assessment methodologies, and offer negotiation for all levels of talent.
- Strong experience in optimizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies, bonus if you have UKG experience.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and leadership abilities, with a strong vision for talent acquisition's role in business success.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with executive leadership and diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Highly analytical and data-driven, capable of interpreting complex metrics to drive strategic decisions and demonstrate business impact.
- Strong business acumen, capable of understanding complex organizational dynamics and market forces.
- Results-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges.

Salary Range: $171,200 - $214,000
