THE ROLE

Solution Engineers are trusted advisors focused on customer success. Through world-class demonstrations and engaging customer stories, we paint a compelling, innovative, and unique vision of transformation for our customers. We continually grow our solution expertise, knowledge of the competition, and value centric presentation skills. Beyond deal execution, we partner with the larger organization by supporting pipeline generating activities, contributing to sales enablement and providing market feedback to development.

This role will focus on the industry’s number 1 ranked solution for Professional Services Automation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fully understand the requirements and priorities of customers and prospects through discovery

  • Partner with Account Executives to deliver engaging, value-centric demonstrations that differentiate Certinia

  • As the solution expert, you will co-own opportunities throughout the sales cycle

  • Develop and grow expertise related to Certinia solutions, the Salesforce platform, partner applications, and the competitive landscape

  • Partner with Marketing and Alliances to support field events

  • Support enablement initiatives throughout the organization

  • Assist in responding to RFIs and RFPs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a pre-sales professional supporting enterprise applications OR 5+ years as a consultant demonstrating domain expertise

  • Strong presentation skills and customer-facing acumen

  • Experience and/or desire to work with rapidly changing technology

  • Ability to multi-task, communicate priorities, and manage time effectively

  • Up to 30% travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with Professional Services Automation solutions

  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM

  • Domain expertise in professional service organizations.

  • Previous experience working in a sales organization at a software company

  • Prior experience with the following software applications: Oracle PeopleSoft, Oracle Fusion, SAP ERP, SAP Business ByDesign, Workday, Netsuite OpenAir, Changepoint, Kimble PSA, Quickbooks, or other similar ERP software

Salary Range: $167,000 - $209,000
