THE ROLE

The Engagement Manager role is critical to the Certinia sales process working closely with our Professional Services (PS), Sales (Go To Market) and Legal teams. You will be responsible for understanding our customers requirements and producing compelling Service Proposals (Budgetary Estimate and Statements of Work) which meet the customers needs. As part of the Certinia PS team you will have a detailed knowledge of our applications, using this knowledge together with your business process and consultative skills to maximise our solutions in the sales process. Having represented the PS team in the sales cycle you will ensure seamless handover and transition to the PS implementation team, ensuring that customers’ requirements are fully understood and deliverable.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE

  • Customer requirements analysis
  • High level solution architecture (applications, integrations, data flows)
  • Produce implementation cost estimations
  • Produce Statements of Works (SOW) - Scope, Objectives, Deliverables, Commercials etc.
  • Leverage your business process and consultative knowledge to offer customers and Sales colleagues best practice advice and guidance during the sales process and into the solution design
  • Represent the PS team in the sales cycle, providing application knowledge and skills where necessary
  • Present the FF Implementation Methodology and advise customer how best to implement our solutions and agree roll-out strategies which meet the customer objectives of time to value
  • Ensure seamless transition between the Certinia teams, sales, PS, support and customer success
  • Identify customer critical success factors and minimise risk
  • Assist with project planning and resourcing as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • The successful candidate should have strong customer management and business consultancy skills
  • Experience with ERP, Financial Management, and/or Professional Services Automation (PSA) applications and solution design
  • You will be comfortable at both consulting with and negotiating with C level executives, backed up with a strong understanding of their business objectives and project management skills
  • Previous experience in customer solution design, production of SOW’s and services estimation
  • Key to this role is being able to articulate value, work within a project structure and timelines, inspire and sell the future of software as a service
  • As a trusted advisor and coach, it falls to the Senior Engagement Manager to identify how Certinia software can be effectively applied to support the achievement of a company's strategic business goals while keeping to a project scope and timeframe
  • Relish the challenge of hitting and exceeding targets
  • The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a strong communicator, organised and analytical with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Experienced in implementing whether as Consultant, Architect or Project Manager on enterprise class Software as a Service solution
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience in High Tech/Enterprise Software
  • Appropriate professional qualification in Accounting, IT or other related field or demonstrated comparable work experience

WHAT ELSE WOULD BE GREAT

  • Experience building new business pipeline for software professional services
  • Some travel will be required either to other Certinia offices or to customer sites

Salary Range: $155,000 - $194,000
