Job Summary:

The Vice President of Accounting is a key member of the finance leadership team responsible for overseeing CSI’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance activities. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial processes and supports strategic decision-making in a high-growth, private equity-backed fintech environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic setting and brings a balance of technical expertise, operational excellence, and leadership acumen.

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, revenue, and month-/year-end close

  • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies

  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, board materials, and investor updates

  • Continuously strengthen internal controls and accounting processes to support audit readiness and scalability

  • Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate audit processes

Technical Accounting & Compliance

  • Interpret and apply technical accounting guidance to complex transactions and new business activities

  • Draft and review technical accounting memos and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and evolving private equity reporting requirements

  • Collaborate with tax advisors on compliance, reporting, and planning

Cash Flow, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the CFO in cash flow forecasting, capital planning, and long-range financial modeling

  • Maintain accurate budgets and forecasts, and perform regular variance analysis

  • Assist with compliance related to debt covenants and credit facilities

Investor & PE Sponsor Relations

  • Partner with the CFO to deliver timely and accurate financial data to private equity sponsors

  • Prepare financial materials and insights for board meetings, investor updates, and due diligence

  • Manage ad hoc financial analyses and reporting for sponsor or investor requests

Systems, Processes & Team Building

  • Lead optimization and integration of accounting systems and reporting tools

  • Hire, develop, and mentor a lean, high-performing accounting team

  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, HR, and Operations to align financial processes with business needs

Qualifications:

  • CPA required; MBA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 3–5+ years in a leadership role

  • Experience in a private equity-backed company; fintech or SaaS industry experience highly desirable

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards

  • Proven ability to lead audits, manage complex transactions, and communicate effectively with executive and board-level audiences

  • Strong systems orientation; experience with ERP platforms and advanced Excel skills

  • High integrity, sound judgment, and a hands-on, detail-oriented approach

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
