About the Role:

The role of the Product Documentation Specialist is to play a central part in creating and updating all documentation for our software product solutions; including checking and improving existing documentation. The Product Documentation Specialist should be ready with all the required documentation by “Go to Market” for the new releases and will maintain documentation to keep it up-to-date.

The Product Documentation Specialist will write, publish and distribute customer friendly documents, including user manuals, release notes, and update a knowledgebase of help articles. In addition to writing articles, the role can include the creation of eLearning digital content and videos where appropriate. You will maintain Documentation Department standards to ensure consistency across the company.

Essential Functions:

  • Creation and updating all kinds of documentation, such as:

-Getting started guides

-Release Notes

-Help system / Knowledgebase

-eLearning interactive content

-Training videos

  • Collect information needed for marketing communications/new products
  • Prepare use cases to relate the documentation to the needs of our customers
  • Organize the translation of English content into other languages using machine translation tools and work with native speaking colleagues
  • Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
  • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience
  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement, for example replacing with interactive eLearning content when written documentation is under-used
  • Working closely with colleagues across other departments to ensure that everyone is completing and submitting the necessary documentation
  • Acting as a point of contact for retrieval of specific documentation as required
  • Training of colleagues on the requirements around documentation

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • General Skills

-Structured and organized

-Understanding of business processes

-Comfortable with IT and learning new software

-Team working

-Attention to detail

-Highly motivated, independent individual

  • Communication skills

-Good communication and interpersonal skills

-Experience in facilitating solutions between marketing and technical teams

  • Language skills

-Fluent English speaker

-High standard of written English and concise writing

-Describing complex technical tasks in an easy-to-understand way

-Likes to write and to explain

  • Familiar with the creation of video tutorial and other modern communications
  • Service minded: Demonstrates strong ability to deliver service to internal and external teams

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in some of Cyncly’s products is desirable
  • Experience with the creation of documentation across different media
  • IT experience
  • Knowledge of the furniture industry
  • Fluency in other European languages (Italian, French, German, Spanish)
