About the Role

We are redeveloping the structure, purpose, and operating model of the legal department with a focus on ensuring the team spends its time on critical value-add and strategic work, not noncritical and repetitive tasks that can be automated or outsourced. We are leveraging legal technology, expert legal transformation consultants, and streamlined workflows to achieve this.

As Legal Counsel you will contribute to all aspects of the company’s legal, compliance and business enablement operations. You will support across all jurisdictions on key enterprise customer contracting matters (including the go to market of new cloud and data based products), M&A activity and legal integrations, day to day data privacy, compliance, employment law, IP, open-source, data use, corporate, legal entity management, and governance matters, and help the Senior Legal Counsels and General Counsel shape the strategy, culture, and vision of the new look digitized legal department.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment you will have significant autonomy as part of a growing legal team (currently 13 individuals) to drive initiatives with exposure to key decision makers across the senior leadership team. You will report directly to the Senior Legal Counsel and work collaboratively with business unit and function leaders across sales, R&D, customer success, M&A/Corporate Development, Marketing, and FP&A/Finance.

This role would be perfect for a business savvy commercial in-house lawyer with experience negotiating software/technology contracts looking to broaden their knowledge base and fast track their career progression and path towards a future General Counsel role.
