About the Role

The IT Security Analyst performs two core functions for the enterprise. The first is the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions while the second is the identification, investigation and resolution of security events and incidents detected by those systems. Secondary tasks may include involvement in the implementation of new security solutions, participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.

The IT Security Analyst is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures, and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the daily operation of Cyncly’s security solutions under the guidance of senior analysts.
• Be up to date on IT security industry trends, including new solutions, processes, and threats.
• Assist in applying enhancements to bolster security for existing solutions, following best practices and organizational protocols.
• Help in deploying and configuring new and existing security solutions, ensuring alignment with the enterprise's security framework.
• Verify that all devices are securely configured and operated, following standards for baselines and configurations.
• Monitor security solutions for efficient operations, interpret device logs and reports, and devise resolution plans.
• Participate in security incident response, vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and audits.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience within the IT operations environment and from using related technologies.
• At least 1 years of experience with IT security.
• Knowledge of Security products in public cloud providers.
• Experience with NDR/IDS, Vulnerability scan, EDR, SIEM/SOAR, WAF, IAM or other security solutions.
• Understanding of IP, TCP/IP, DNS, and other network administration protocols.
• Experience from Security Incident Response Team or SOC.

Required Education & Certifications:

• College diploma or university degree in computer science and/or years equivalent work experience.
• One or more of the following certifications:
• ISC2 CC
• CompTIA Security+
• SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
• SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate
