About the role

As Finance Manager DACH, you will report into the Senior Director & Corporate Controller, and will be responsible for financial reporting, statutory reporting, cash management and working closely with auditors and banks. The Finance Manager role will require you to hone in on your problem-solving abilities, provide support to the Finance team through positivity and recognition, and support the Finance team in meeting and exceeding performance goals. This position provides a unique opportunity to manage Finance and Accounting of two group companies (DACH) working closely with the team in all aspects of this fast-growing international business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of appr. 4 employees
  • Manages Finance and Accounting for several companies
  • Produces accounting and financial reporting (P&L, BS & CF) for HGB and IFRS GAAP with appropriate analyses
  • Works collaboratively with Senior Director & Corporate Controller on complex technical accounting issues
  • Reviews complex contracts for appropriate revenue recognition according to IFRS
  • Manages treasury and liquidity planning
  • Works collaboratively with auditors
  • Manages Internal and external relationships (e.g. tax consultants, banks and authorities)
  • Ensures that internal accounting policies and controls are complied with HGB and IFRS
  • Actively participates in the operative day-to-day business as well as in the further development and optimization of processes within the company
  • Works with senior management to review monthly financial statements and perform detailed financial analyses, as needed
  • Assists with financial Due Diligence for potential acquisitions, as needed
  • Other special projects supporting the business growth, as needed


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completed commercial vocational training with an additional qualification as a Certified Public Accountant or completed studies with a focus on accounting/finance/taxes
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in an internationally operating company
  • Knowledge of German tax and compliance - financial statement reliability according to IFRS and HGB as well as knowledge of corporate and indirect tax laws are essential
  • Management experience
  • Routine in MS Office, proficient in handling ERP systems. Experience with Netsuite is a plus
  • Very good written and spoken German language skills are essential
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
