Job Title: EMEA Assistant Accountant

Location: Lisbon Hyrbrid

Contract: Permanent - Full Time Permanent

Report into: EMEA Management Accountant

Direct Reports: EMEA Management Accountant

About the Role

As EMEA Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the EMEA Management Accountant to implement best in class standard processes and controls. You will also build out KPIs and drive an efficient, continuous improvement culture.

Collaborating closely with the Regional Financial Controller, FP&I and local management teams, you will be someone with a keen interest in implementing various accounting related projects.

Main Responsibilities

· Support the month end process for all entities in line with group time tables.

· Prepare journals for posting

· Work alongside AP team in ensuring all costs are captured and suppliers are paid in a timely manner

· Collaborate closely with AR, Collections and Credit Control teams.

· Work alongside Treasury Team in providing information for weekly cash flow forecast.

· Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

· Work alongside sales managers to ensure revenue is correctly captured and accounted for in line with group accounting policy.

· Support the EMEA Management Accountant during annual audits.

· Work with the wider Cyncly community to provide a best-in-class service to our customers, in particular nurturing a strong working relationship between the finance team and key stakeholders in non-finance departments

· Basic knowledge of all relevant regulatory compliance for all entities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

· Accounting degree or Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience or QBE

· Experience in preparing management accounts

· Demonstrable analytical skills along with ability to create and present detailed reports

· Strong planning skills well organised and attention to detail

· Experience in a global, multi-cultural environment

· Ideally practice trained with a couple of years of Industry experience.

Languages Skills

· English and Portuguese mandatory, any other European language is a definite advantage.
