Availability between 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST is required to support collaboration with our global teams.
About the Role
The Shared Service Program Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple related initiatives that sit within the Engineering function including cross-functional initiatives such as those that streamline internal operations and support organizational effectiveness. The position requires coordinating internal teams across departments, managing change management, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities while maintaining oversight of budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
Key Position Responsibilities Include:
Program Planning & Strategy
- Define internal program vision and objectives aligned with organizational efficiency and employee experience goals.
- Develop comprehensive program roadmaps for internal initiatives (internal systems, operational improvements, digital transformation, etc.).
- Identify and manage interdependencies between internal projects and business operations.
- Establish program governance structures and change management frameworks for internal shared service initiatives.
- Collaborate with Engineering department leaders to prioritize internal improvement initiatives.
Program Execution & Delivery
- Oversee execution of multiple concurrent projects ensuring coordination and integration.
- Monitor program progress against milestones, budgets, and quality standards. Identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks and issues.
- Facilitate decision-making and remove blockers to maintain program momentum.
- Ensure effective resource allocation across initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with internal Engineering heads and business unit leaders.
- Communicate program status and impacts to internal stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Manage change adoption and address resistance from internal teams.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and alignment.
- Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to ensure transparency.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project or program management experience with focus on internal initiatives.
- Minimum 3 years managing internal programs affecting multiple departments.
- Expert knowledge of program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Excellent stakeholder management and internal negotiation skills.
- Risk management and mitigation skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work across diverse internal teams.
