Opened in 2025, our Lisbon Regional Operation Center has grown to over 50 employees within less than ten months, with ambitious plans to expand to 300 employees by 2027.
About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director (BU + GTM), the Commercial Finance Manager will act as a strategic partner to selected business units’ (BU) leadership and their operational teams. The position will play a critical role in driving financial performance and influence decision making.
The Commercial Finance Manager plays a multifaceted role, balancing planning, analysis, reporting (via his/her team), and business partnering to drive financial success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Business Partnering & Financial Analysis:
- Collaborate with business leaders – and their teams - to understand their operating rhythm, financial KPIs, goals and objectives.
- Delivery commercial and financial insights to that drive action and aid decision-making – enabling achievement of your stakeholders key financial and strategic objectives
- Act as a partner to the Commercial Finance Director
- Support cross-functional teams with financial expertise and analysis.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify key performance drivers.
- Analyse financial performance, identify financial trends, assess profitability
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Support strategic decision-making through scenario analysis and modelling.
Risk and Opportunities Reporting:
- Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities and discuss proactively with the Commercial Finance Director, then submit to the Group FP&A team.
- Support development in risk mitigation strategies with recommendations.
- Communicate potential impacts on financial performance to key stakeholders.
Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead, manage and co-ordinate the Annual Budget and regular Forecast Cycles (3+9; 6+6; 9+3); for the selected business units.
- Create and update financial projections based on current trends and business developments.
- Collaborate with department heads to set financial targets and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis.
- Work closely with operational teams to understand operational dynamics
- Partner with other Commercial Finance business partners and FP&A team to develop and streamline process
- Provide rolling forecasts to support agile decision-making.
Reporting:
- Generate accurate and timely financial reports for the business unit(s)
- Work closely with Group FP&A, provide quality narrative for monthly business reviews and investor reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Present financial results and insights to senior management.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance & accounting, economics and/or relevant qualification (ACA/CIMA)
- Extensive work experience (5+ years) in Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering or FP&A
- Few years of SaaS experience preferred
- Experience in a multi-geography business
- Previous experience in PE backed, matrix organisations is preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of business
- Strong analytical skills with attention to details
- Proven ability to manage, coach and develop a high-performing team
- Business Partnering experience. Ability to engage senior management in a credible fashion using data, analysis and insight (keeping them posted on their financials, identifying opportunities and risks)
- Ability to think laterally and problem solver, providing scalable solutions
- Hands-on
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint user with good modelling skills
- To be successful, a proactive, entrepreneurial, can-do attitude will be important
- Highly motivated and organised
- Interested in the bigger picture
- Proven influencing skills in decision making
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite EPM/ Power BI/ Tableau/ Salesforce is advantage, but not a must
