About the Role
Reporting to the VP, IT & Security, and working closely with the Director of IT and Director of Cyber Security, the IT & Cyber Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex IT & Cyber projects, primarily focused on security compliance and IT standardization as it pertains to infrastructure, systems implementation, and business applications across Cyncly’s global environment. This leadership role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The Manager will champion robust project governance, utilize advanced project management methodologies (PMP/PMBOK, Agile/Scrum), and effectively manage multi-disciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups to drive key organizational objectives.
The Manager will be responsible for regular metric based regular reporting on the IT & Cyber project portfolio and overall execution health of the IT & Cyber strategies at Cyncly.
Key Position Responsibilities Include:
Project Leadership and Lifecycle Management
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for complex IT & Cyber initiatives, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and formal closure.
- Collaborate closely with sponsors and senior management to define clear project objectives, business requirements, deliverables, scope, and measurable success criteria, ensuring strategic alignment.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive project documentation, including integrated project plans, schedules, resource allocation models, budgets, and detailed risk management strategies.
- Drive project execution by coordinating and overseeing technical and cross-functional teams (including Security, Infrastructure Engineers, DBAs, and Application Support), assigning tasks, and resolving roadblocks.
Governance, Risk, and Financial Control
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, analyse, and manage project risks and issues, implementing timely mitigation and corrective actions as needed.
- Budget Management: Own and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, forecasts, and ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization in partnership with the PMO.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, effectively managing expectations, negotiating scope, and communicating trade-offs.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide transparent, regular project status updates and performance reports (utilizing PMO dashboards) to stakeholders, highlighting progress, budget status, critical risks, and key decisions required.
Process and Team Development
- Ensure rigorous application of standard project management methodologies (PMP, Agile) and adherence to PMO governance and quality standards.
- Facilitate continuous improvement by conducting comprehensive project reviews and post implementation lessons learned sessions.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment, mentoring junior colleagues and promoting the adoption of project management best practices across the organization.
- Design and implement strategies to leverage AI based tools and strategies to accelerate project outcome quality and timelines.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Certifications: Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly recommended; or PRINCE2 Practitioner, or relevant Agile certification (CSM, PMI-ACP).
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of proven experience as an IT or Security Project Manager, successfully leading and delivering complex technical projects.
- Methodologies: Extensive practical knowledge and application of formal project management methodologies (PMBOK, PMP principles).
- Leadership: Strong demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial Acumen: Proven experience in project budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
- Tools: Proficiency in using enterprise project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, FreshService Project Management, or equivalent) for planning, scheduling, and collaboration.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate technical information for non-technical audiences.

Desired Skills:
- Domain Knowledge: Experience managing large-scale IT Infrastructure projects (e.g., cloud migration, data centre consolidation, network upgrades) and Security compliance projects (SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Methodologies: Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (ex: ITIL, Lean/Six Sigma).
- Global Experience: Experience managing global projects with distributed teams and international stakeholders.
