About the Role
We are seeking a GRC Platform Engineer to own the configuration, optimization, and day-to-day management of our Vanta compliance platform. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) processes are efficient, automated, and audit-ready - with a focus on SOC 2 readiness within the next 12 months.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of security and compliance frameworks, and an enthusiasm for leveraging AI-driven functionality to enhance automation, reporting, and control validation.

Key Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Platform Ownership: Configure, administer, and continuously optimize the Vanta GRC platform, ensuring integrations, data accuracy, and effective use of all modules.
  • AI Enablement: Drive full utilization of Vanta's AI and automation features to improve control monitoring, evidence collection, and issue management.
  • Control Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for control owners, assisting with configuration requests, control testing workflows, and evidence submission.
  • SOC 2 Readiness: Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, HR, Legal, and Engineering) to achieve SOC 2 certification readiness within 12 months.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline GRC operations, enhance system integrations, and improve visibility into compliance posture.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of compliance data and documentation within the platform.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by maintaining organized, audit-ready evidence within Vanta.
  • Training & Enablement: Provide training, documentation, and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective platform use.


Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in GRC, IT compliance, or security engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience administering Vanta or similar compliance automation platforms (Drata, Secureframe, Tugboat Logic, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and related frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of security controls and audit processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and compliance detail.
  • Experience integrating Vanta with systems like EntraID, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience using or implementing AI-powered tools or automation in compliance workflows.
  • Prior experience in a SaaS or cloud-native environment.

Success Metrics:

  • Vanta platform fully configured and optimized to support SOC 2 readiness within 12 months.
  • 90%+ adoption rate of Vanta among control owners.
  • Demonstrated reduction in manual compliance efforts through AI-driven automation.
  • Positive internal audit readiness assessments and control completion rates.
