About the role

We’re building a best-in-class payments organization inside a fast-growing software company—and we’re looking for a Grade A Payments SDR to help fuel that growth.

This is not an entry-level SDR role.

You’ll be the front line of our payments GTM motion, responsible for driving qualified pipeline to two experienced Payments Sellers. You’ll engage software customers and prospects, spark interest in embedded payments, and help position payments as a strategic revenue and workflow accelerator—not just a feature.

If you thrive in a performance-driven environment, understand payments (or are hungry to master it), and want uncapped earning potential, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Own outbound prospecting efforts across calls, emails, and sequences to generate qualified payments opportunities
  • Engage decision-makers at software companies and SMBs to uncover pain points related to AR, cash flow, and payment workflows
  • Generate interest in adding or expanding embedded payments within existing software platforms
  • Schedule high-quality discovery meetings for Payments Account Executives
  • Partner closely with Payments Sellers, Account Executives, and Sales Managers to refine messaging and targeting
  • Leverage tools like Salesforce, Gong, 6sense, and Microsoft Suite to manage pipeline, track activity, and continuously improve outreach effectiveness
  • Maintain clean CRM hygiene and provide feedback on market signals, objections, and competitive insights
  • Consistently hit (and exceed) activity, meeting, and pipeline generation targets

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Experience

  • 1–3+ years of SDR/BDR experience in a high-velocity outbound environment
  • Prior exposure to payments, fintech, SaaS, or embedded payments (PayFac, ISV, gateways, acquiring, etc.)
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding quota
  • Strong phone presence with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with modern sales tools (Salesforce, sales engagement platforms, intent data tools)

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience selling into software platforms, vertical SaaS, or existing customer bases
  • Familiarity with payments concepts (card-not-present, ACH, funding, disputes, pricing models)
  • Experience working alongside senior or enterprise sellers

Who You Are

  • A hunter—you love the chase and take pride in creating pipeline from scratch
  • Highly motivated by uncapped commission and performance-based rewards
  • Sharp, curious, and able to quickly learn complex products and value propositions
  • Collaborative—you enjoy partnering with AEs and leaders to win as a team
  • Coachable and resilient; objections don’t slow you down
  • Organized, data-driven, and disciplined in your execution

Why This Role Is Different

  • You’re selling payments as a strategic growth lever, not a commodity
  • You’ll work directly with senior payments leadership and experienced sellers
  • Clear path for growth into Payments AE or Strategic Roles
  • Uncapped upside with real earning potential for top performers
  • Modern tech stack and strong GTM alignment

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently generating high-quality, conversion-ready meetings
  • Becoming a trusted partner to Payments Sellers
  • Developing deep payments expertise
  • Ranking at the top of SDR performance metrics
  • Direct impact on payments revenue growth
