About the Role
This role offers an exceptional opportunity for senior engineers and technical architects to work on a large scale engineering platform involving complex calculations, high precision component modeling, and a custom 3D CAD engine. You will lead architectural decision making, modernize and extend legacy components (including Delphi based modules), and design scalable services and integrations using .NET, C#, and cloud technologies. While the platform includes Delphi, the focus of this role is on bringing modern .NET architecture, engineering rigor, performance optimization, and cloud-readiness to a mission critical global product line. You will collaborate with global teams, provide technical leadership, establish coding standards, and mentor development teams across India and overseas.
Key Position Responsibilities Include:
Platform Architecture & Modernization
- Architect, design, and evolve software components using .NET, C#, and modern architectural patterns.
- Lead modernization of legacy modules (Delphi) into scalable, maintainable .NET-based services where appropriate.
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, coding practices, and design principles across teams.
Core Engineering & Technical Depth
- Work with engineering grade algorithms, precision calculations, and complex data structures.
- Contribute to performance optimization, memory management, and resource efficient architectural solutions.
- Solve deep technical issues related to platform interoperability, recursive code flows, and fine tolerance behaviors.
Full Stack & Integration Responsibilities
- Design and guide integrations with SQL Server/Oracle databases, cloud components, and enterprise systems (CPQ/ERP).
- Collaborate on 3D CAD engine interactions, APIs, and rendering pipelines (experience helpful, not mandatory).
- Review and refine application engines, data flows, and interop layers between Delphi, .NET, and other components.
Team Leadership & Agile Delivery
- Mentor and guide India-based developers on architecture, design patterns, debugging, and best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, retrospectives.
- Conduct code reviews, design walkthroughs, and architectural deep dives with cross functional teams.
- Quality, Performance & Engineering Discipline
- Drive engineering excellence through systematic debugging, profiling, and performance tuning.
- Use Git/TFS, CI/CD pipelines, and structured engineering processes.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable code across the platform.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software development experience, including significant architectural/technical leadership roles.
- Deep experience designing and building systems using C#/.NET (Core/Framework).
- Experience in engineering intensive or platform based environments (CAD, manufacturing, simulation, product configuration, etc.).
- Strong understanding of memory management, resource optimization, and debugging high complexity systems.
- Familiarity with Delphi or willingness to work with legacy modules and interoperability layers.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server/Oracle database architecture & query optimization.
- Experience working with source control systems (Git/TFS) and performance monitoring tools.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and mentor large teams.
Core Competency Requirements:
- Strong architectural mindset with proven experience in designing scalable systems.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with distributed global teams.
- Expertise in Object Oriented Programming, design patterns, and modern architectural styles (layered, modular, microservices is a plus).
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication and ability to guide/mentor junior engineers.
- Engineering rigor, attention to detail, and commitment to high quality code.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Exposure to CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit) or 3D graphics libraries (OpenGL/DirectX).
- Experience with CPQ systems, ERP integration, or manufacturing/engineering domain.
- Experience with multi-threaded applications, high-performance computing, or interop-heavy architectures.
- Cloud fundamentals (Azure preferred) for future architecture modernization.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: .NET/C# Developer or Solutions Architect.
- Embarcadero Delphi Developer Certification (optional but welcomed).
- AutoCAD/Revit certifications (added advantage).
- Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS) for integration and modernization work.
