About Us
The Project Manager is responsible for driving measurable commercial outcomes from technology investments across platforms, data, AI, tooling, and engineering initiatives.
Operating at Level 5 (L5), this role works with significant autonomy and influences decisions across Technology, Product, Finance, and Commercial leadership. The position sits at the intersection of: Product & Engineering roadmaps, Financial planning & cost governance, Vendor and cloud commercial models.
Strategic prioritization and value realization: The role ensures that technology initiatives translate into: Sustainable cost structures, Clear ROI and business cases, Margin improvement and revenue enablement, Transparent value tracking, Strong commercial governance.
Key Position Responsibilities Include:
Commercial Strategy & Value Realization
- Own the commercial framework for technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain: Business cases, ROI and NPV models, Cost-to-serve analysis, Value realization tracking.
- Ensure technology investments align with: Revenue growth objectives, Margin improvement targets, Efficiency and productivity goals.
- Define success metrics for each initiative and ensure benefits realization is: Quantified, Measurable, Transparent to stakeholders, Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to embed commercial accountability into roadmaps.
Financial & Contractual Management
- Lead commercial evaluation of: Vendor contracts, SaaS licensing models, Cloud consumption structures, Third-party services
- Provide data-driven insights to support: Negotiations, Pricing model optimization, Long-term financial sustainability
- Identify cost optimization opportunities across: Platforms, Infrastructure, Tooling ecosystems
- Ensure optimization does not compromise strategic capability.
- Govern PO creation and financial workflow compliance, ensuring spend visibility and control.
Stakeholder Leadership & Executive Influence
- Act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior stakeholders across: Technology, Product, Commercial leadership, Finance
- Translate complex technical and financial data into: Clear executive narratives, Decision-ready summaries, Prioritization frameworks.
- Influence portfolio decisions where: Demand exceeds capacity, Budget constraints apply, Trade-offs between cost, risk, and strategic value are required.
Operational Commercial Governance
- Establish repeatable commercial processes for: Evaluating new initiatives, Pilot assessments, Scale-up investment decisions.
- Embed commercial governance into delivery cycles rather than treating it as: A one-off approval step
- Ensure that: Value tracking continues post-approval, Assumptions in business cases are validated, Financial impact is continuously monitored.
- Contribute to improving technology investment decision-making maturity across the organization.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong background in technology-adjacent commercial, finance, strategy, or program roles.
- Demonstrated experience building and defending complex cross-functional business cases.
- Experience working with senior leadership on investment decisions.
- Exposure to enterprise-scale technology environments.
- Deep understanding of: Cloud cost drivers, SaaS licensing models, Data platform economics, AI investment structures.
Ability to model: ROI, IRR, and long-term financial impact, Total cost of ownership (TCO), Cost allocation and cost-to-serve models - Experience identifying and delivering cost optimization initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions with data.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.
- Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
- Owns outcomes for a clearly defined commercial domain.
- Operates independently with minimal direction.
