About the Role
As a Accounting Operations Specialist – Flooring, you will deliver Remote Accounting Services to RFMS and RollMaster customers through our Virtual Accounting Services (VAS) program.
This role sits within the Professional Services team and involves performing recurring accounting operations directly within customer RFMS/RollMaster environments. You will ensure accurate financial records, complete reconciliations, execute journal entries, and provide reliable financial statements to help flooring businesses manage their operations with confidence.
You will act as a trusted accounting partner to customers by connecting to their systems, performing structured month-end activities, and maintaining financial data integrity within RFMS/RollMaster platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Connect securely to customer RFMS/RollMaster databases to perform accounting services
• Complete recurring bank and credit card reconciliations
• Perform month-end journal entries and system balancing
• Reconcile key control accounts including checking accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer deposits, inventory, sales, and cost of goods sold
• Process recurring and miscellaneous journal entries
• Perform WIP labor accruals where applicable
• Reconcile claims according to the service package level
• Generate and validate financial statements including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
• Support 1099 preparation for RFMS customers at year-end
• Ensure financial statements follow GAAP principles and RFMS/RollMaster best practices
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting imbalances proactively
• Participate in onboarding calls to assess client accounting needs and define service scope
• Deliver financial statements within agreed monthly timelines
• Communicate with customers regarding documentation, reconciliation items, and financial data accuracy
• Build long-term client relationships through consistent and reliable service delivery
• Follow standardized VAS processes and monthly close procedures
Required Experience & Qualifications
• 3–6 years of accounting experience such as bookkeeping, financial operations, or month-end close
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, journal entries, accrual accounting, and general ledger balancing
• Experience preparing financial statements
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct accounting imbalances
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to manage recurring monthly deadlines across multiple clients
• Experience in construction, retail, or project-based accounting environments is a plus
• Familiarity with RFMS or RollMaster systems is a plus
• Experience supporting outsourced or managed accounting services is a plus
• Exposure to GAAP-compliant reporting in multi-entity environments is a plus
