About the role

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner, the Commercial Finance Senior Analyst will support data-centric processes and analysis to support key strategic and operational decisions for the Customer organisation (Professional Services and Customer Success). The work will focus on functional business partnering with the opportunity to become a true expert of the business.
This role provides significant growth opportunities for the right candidate as it offers the depth and breadth of both multi-geography and multi-business line exposure in a fast growing, dynamic, and acquisitive software business.
Turn numbers into decision-ready summaries so leaders understand the “so what” and can take action.

Impact

  • Drive Scalable Growth: Ensure all headcount expansion is strategically tied to revenue milestones, maintaining a lean and high-performing organization that hits profitability targets.
  • Influence Strategy: Serve as a bridge between Finance and Operations, ensuring that departmental goals never exist in a vacuum but directly contribute to the company's long-term health.
  • Data-Driven Decisioning: Synthesize fragmented data into a "single source of truth" that the executive team relies on for monthly planning and board-level reporting.

Main responsibilities

  • Performance Monitoring & Variance Analysis: Drive accountability through rigorous monthly reporting; you will not just "generate" reports, but present the "why" behind results and variance trends to senior management.
  • Coordinate Financial Planning Cycles: Partner with the Customer Organization to build out the end-to-end Annual Budget and rolling Forecast cycles, providing the structure needed for stakeholders to hit their targets.
  • Month-End Integrity: Collaborate closely with the Accounting team during the month-end close to ensure the accuracy of revenue recognition and cost allocation, providing the necessary business context to guarantee a "no-surprises" financial result.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Act as the primary financial co-pilot for Professional Services and Customer Success leadership, translating complex operating rhythms and KPIs into actionable commercial insights that drive hit-rate on strategic objectives.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance & accounting, economics and/or relevant qualification (ACA/CIMA preferred).
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Solid experience in Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering or FP&A. This must include month-end experience of digging into journals/invoices to understand cost or revenue variances to budget.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint user with good modelling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of business.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite EPM/Power BI/Tableau/Salesforce.
  • Professional Services/SaaS experience.
