Company Overview:

Rapid Web Services, LLC is an emerging web-based technology company located right in the heart of beautiful downtown St. Petersburg, where we maintain multiple internet-based businesses, but are primarily focused on one e-commerce company (www.theSSLstore.com) that operates in the global website security and web hosting industry. Job Summary:

As a Marketing Copywriter, you will be responsible for creating conversion-focused copy that helps drive sales and signups for our line of cybersecurity products for small businesses.

This job is a great fit for a candidate who has strong skills and interests in these two areas:

Conversion-focused sales copywriting. You’ll write sales copy that captures attention, addresses users’ pain points, presents a clear value proposition, and persuades the user to take action. You’ll need to be well-versed in the psychology of selling through the written word (AIDA, features vs. benefits, USPs, value propositions, market positioning, customer personas, pain points, market differentiation, etc.)

Deep technical knowledge/aptitude. You’ll dive deep into our customers’ use cases, their technical environments (servers, DevOps platforms, cloud infrastructure providers, etc.), and how they use our products (or competitors’) to solve their needs. Our customers are technical professionals, so our copy often dives into technical use cases, problems, and features. You should have a strong base of technical knowledge and a keen interest in diving deep into our product categories and related topics.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning in-depth about our industry, customers, solutions, competitors, etc. to produce technically accurate content.
  • Market research to identify and understand customer segments/profiles, user needs, competitive advantages, features, technical environments, etc.
  • Developing/identifying clear value propositions to communicate how each product solves the target audience’s challenges.
  • Writing clear, engaging, actionable copy (sales copy) for product pages, landing pages, marketing collateral, email campaigns, etc.
  • Accurately and precisely communicating technical information in a benefits-oriented, easy-to-understand way.
  • Writing new copy and improving existing copy & user flows to maximize our website’s conversion rate.
  • Mastering the established company branding guidelines, including the specified style and voice.
  • Editing copy for grammar, structure, style, and voice.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as a copywriter / marketing content writer. Proven ability to write engaging copy that captures attention and converts visitors into leads/customers.
  • Portfolio showing relevant copywriting work.
  • Able to deeply understand and communicate technical concepts (i.e. to highly technical audiences). Knowledge/experience related to cybersecurity, servers, web hosting, web development, or related topics is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant education (for example: bachelor’s degree in marketing; industry certifications such as CXL, Hubspot, MECLABS Institute, DigitalMarketer; or other relevant professional certifications or education).
  • Strong computer & Microsoft Office skills.
  • Great written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience identifying and understanding customer personas/profiles and use cases, and developing compelling value propositions that resonate with customers and drive buying decisions.

Benefits

  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Top shelf benefits
  • Education, wellness and lifestyle support
