We are looking for a highly motivated, performance-driven Sales Engineer to be part of DigiCert.

This is a key role. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing credibility while driving and managing all the technical aspects of the sales process. You will partner with Account Executives as a trusted and key technical advisor for DigiCert PKI/IoT/Signing solutions. The Sales Engineer will articulate how DigiCert delivers value to technical and business stakeholders to enable them to make informed decisions. You will develop strong relationships with customers, retain and grow existing accounts in North America.


  • Partner with the Account Executive team, taking responsibility for technical closure to drive revenue and customer success
  • Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of DigiCert PKI/IoT/Signing solutions & architecture
  • Provide demonstrations of DigiCert solutions and services to key prospects/customers
  • Facilitate technical evaluations of customer engagements in a Proof of Concept (POC) environment
  • Assist in response to functional and technical elements of RFPs/RFIs
  • Analyze customer needs and architect/develop potential solutions based on DigiCert PKI/IoT/Signing solutions and services to meet customer objectives
  • Be the voice of the customer. Capture feature request input from prospects/customers to provide feedback to the Product Management teams
  • Effectively manage projects through planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Work independently and in conjunction with other members of the sales team and cross-functional teams
  • Be a technical resource to present topics at field events such as conferences, seminars, as needed
  • Travel as necessary to customer sites and industry forums/conferences as needed to support the objectives of the department


  • 5+ years of Pre-sales/Sales Engineering or Consulting experience in cyber security or PKI
  • Working knowledge of common IT technologies found in enterprise environments (Windows, Linux, Mac, AD/AAD/LDAP, load balancers, web servers, etc.)
  • Hands-on skills to perform product demonstrations and proof-of-concept integrations
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English


  • Higher learning degree in systems management, computer science, cyber security, or 5+ years of experience in cyber security with emphasis on PKI
  • CISSP or alternative Information Security certification
  • Firm understanding of cryptographic concepts in IT environments: symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, hash algorithms, digital signatures, HSMs, secure chips, and secure key storage etc.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and related components
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Large enterprise IT consulting, administration, or support experience
  • Knowledge of developing against REST and SOAP APIs
  • Hands-on experience with configuring certificates on routers, load balancers, SSL inspection devices, web servers, VPNs, and similar components/services Hands-on experience with signing applications using code signing certificates
  • Hands-on experience with hardware security modules (HSMs)
