RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Self-starter with solid hands-on experience in web-based UI automation; someone who can take ownership and independently drive an automation project with minimal supervision.
  • Plan and implement testing (e.g., manual, regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, or performance tests) for new and existing features for web-based Enterprise Applications
  • Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process,
  • Identify, isolate, and verify defects; execute existing tests in regression suites; conduct exploratory testing and perform risk analysis for complex features
  • Identify opportunities to reduce testing time and effort through automation; develop, maintain, and monitor test automation framework
  • Define and promote quality and testing best practices among development teams; review developer's test plans to ensure complete unit test coverage
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, write and execute GUI, Functional, Regression, Security, and Performance related test cases; evaluate testing results and report defects/discrepancies.

COMPETENCIES

  • 5+ years of software testing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or information technology (preferred)
  • Possesses sound aptitude and logical skills and takes pride in their work
  • Self-starter and highly motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail, defect identification and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong understanding of Test Design, Test Planning, Test Execution, Defect Reporting, and Tracking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, adaptability, learning, and time management abilities
  • Proficient in both manual and automated testing, eager to learn and adapt as needed
  • Experience with agile practices (e.g., SCRUM) and planning tools like JIRA
  • Ability to create test coverage documentation, test execution plans, and metrics reports for continuous tracking and improvement
  • Be comfortable working with fast-paced remote/distributed teams
  • Adapt to different time zones, including potential late/early conference calls if necessary

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in REST API & UI Testing – automated and manual (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of one of these tools (e.g., Cucumber, RestAssured,TestRail, XRay, Qtest, Quality Center) preferred
  • Advanced working knowledge of one of these test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer or Playwright) preferred
  • Experience working with at least one scripting language (Bash/ Perl/Python etc.)
  • Comfortable in writing test automation scripts in one of the following Java/Scala/Python
  • Proficiency using Git and CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub actions
  • Proficiency validating Web-Applications & Web-Services using one of the following: Gatling, Postman, Selenium or JMeter
  • Knowledge of Cloud native applications deployed using Docker and or Kubernetes is beneficial
  • Familiarity with SSL/TLS, PKI, and other security-related technologies is beneficial
  • Understanding of SSO (SAML, OIDC & OAUTH) protocols is beneficial
  • Knowledge of both SQL / NoSQL databases / Elastic Search is beneficial
