We are seeking a Data Layer Engineer to be based in Bangalore.


Data Layer Engineer

  • Design, implement, and manage databases to store the organization's data, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to integrate data from various sources into the organization's data infrastructure.
  • Optimize database and query performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Establish data quality standards and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Automate data infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and maintenance processes to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor the health and performance of the data infrastructure and proactively address any issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data management and analytics.


  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database administration, working on MariaDB, Cassandra, MS-SQL and alike
  • Proficiency in database design, SQL, and data modeling.
  • Experience with ETL tools and techniques for data integration and transformation.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning, security best practices, and data governance.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts.
