Job Summary
DigiCert is looking for a hands-on Product Manager join our go-to-market team that’s building new cybersecurity solutions for small businesses.
What you will do
As Product Manager you will have the opportunity to create effective products that solve the day-to-day business, technical, and cybersecurity problems our customers face. You’ll create better ways for SMBs to get business done smoothly in the modern digital world while keeping their servers, websites, web applications, and IT infrastructure safe.
- Take ownership of building and launching products that meet our customers’ needs and achieve our revenue goals.
- Understand our customers’ needs through market research, customer interviews, competitive analyses, and other tactics.
- Develop a deep understanding of the products/platforms you’re working on, including common use cases, user flows, etc. This involves getting hands on in setting up lab environments (websites/servers) and testing/using our products in a variety of scenarios.
- Drive our product strategy by identifying and validating product opportunities, prototyping and iterating potential solutions, and managing the product roadmap.
- Own the user experience end-to-end, including identifying and prioritizing the use cases/scenarios we need to solve for, mapping user flows, building wireframes, etc.
- Work with the design team to create user interfaces that deliver the planned user experience while also creating opportunities for upselling/cross-selling.
- Manage product development throughout the product lifecycle to ensure that we’re building a product that will effectively meet our customers’ needs.
- Partner with sales and marketing to build go-to-market plans for product and feature launches.
- Partner with content and support teams to ensure that product documentation, in-app content, and support capabilities will fulfill our customers’ expectations.
- Collect and analyze data (on customers, market, product usage, etc.) to use data-driven decision-making to achieve product goals.
- Track product success metrics (usage, retention, revenue, etc.) and iterate on the product and go-to-market plan to grow revenue, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
What you will have
The ideal candidate will have technical experience with web servers/web hosting and an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to building products.
- 10 + years of relevant experience, either in a product role, or in other roles where you were leading the building of websites/software/web apps/etc.)
- Hands-on experience/knowledge in one or more related technical areas (Linux or Windows servers, website administration, web development, web hosting).
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial/startup/multiple-hat-wearing environment.
- Knowledge of usability and user experience (UX) concepts and best practices.
- Experience using tools such as Balsamiq, Figma, or MockFlow to build user flows, wireframes, etc.
- Familiar with the software development lifecycle and experienced managing web/software development projects.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and extract actionable insights from data using both web/product analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, HotJar, Microsoft Clarity, etc.) and BI tools (such as PowerBI, Pandas, etc.)
- Experience conducting market and customer research, including conducting user interviews, etc.
Nice to have
- Experience working with APIs using Postman or similar
- Experience using Python for prototyping and data analysis
- Experience working with Figma for UX/UI design
- Experience related to SSL, PKI, and/or vulnerability scanning/management
- Experience building a project end-to-end (e.g. as an entrepreneur, for a side project, or working in a small, early-stage startup)
- Experience creating and implementing go-to-market/marketing strategies
