Position Overview

We have the Product development and engineering team of our Dealership Management System working from our Mumbai and Pune offices working as a “Business Unit” (or BU) under a BU Head. Engineering Program Manager for this Business Unit will help the BU head in planning (and re-panning) of multiple ongoing customer delivery sprints where each delivery is responsibility of respective Product Owners (who won’t report to the Program Manager)

Responsibilities

You will be required to constantly interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand the criticality of various work stream and must be able to guide multiple product owners to align their efforts as per the required priorities.

Though there will not be a permanent team under this role, the incumbent may have to, from time to time, take lead in strategic initiatives, or critical projects along with special purpose team(s) assembled for that objective.

Required Skills & Education

Ideal candidate should:

• Come from product/software development background,
• Fully familiar with the nuances of technical delivery.
• Should have handled or co-ordinated multiple service or product deliveries (in application development space) either to a single large account, or to a group of accounts.
• Evidence of contribution to scaling up and/or growth of the work stream will be highly preferred.
• Must come with strong consulting skills – must have acted as influence to the senior management with data and insights
• Bring in 12 to 16 years of relevant experience, bulk of which must be in product/software development space.
• Be fully comfortable with the idea that though this role is out and out managerial (and not hands on tech role), it does not have significant people management component or large number of direct reports.
