Position Overview

As a System Engineer/IT Operations Engineer you will play a crucial role in maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting our Windows server infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our servers to meet the needs of our organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software product and address any issues or concerns raised by customers. Requires strong commitment to working in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems related software.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard server systems against unauthorized access and threats.
  • Manage Active Directory services, including user accounts, group policies, and domain controllers.
  • Configure and customize Infor software applications, including but not limited to Infor ERP, Infor SCM, Infor EAM, and Infor CRM, to meet specific business requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other Cross functional teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as needed.

Required Skills & Education

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience:
    1. 4-7 years of experience in administering Windows Server environments, database administration or support role, with proficiency in SQL.
    2. 1-2 years of experience with Infor system would be desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    1. Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019).
    2. Strong knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) for database querying, data manipulation, and database object management
    3. Proficiency in Active Directory management and Group Policy administration.
    4. Knowledge of implementing and supporting Infor software solutions, with expertise in one or more Infor applications (e.g., Infor LN, Infor M3, Infor CloudSuite, etc.).
    5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple incidents and tasks simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications: Microsoft certified Windows Administrator OR Azure Administrator OR SQL Administrator OR Infor Administrator
  • Familiarity with ERP software suite would be preferred.
