Position Overview
The Practice Manager will lead the Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Equipment & Rental implementation teams within the Professional Services organization. The team is comprised of ERP Solution Managers and Implementation Consultants. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of ERP software implementations for heavy equipment dealerships. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach to manage a high-performing team and deliver exceptional project outcomes. This role requires deep expertise in ERP systems, dealership management processes, and SaaS solutions, with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Equipment & Rental functionality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Equipment & Rental teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer outcomes
- Directly manage and assign resources across projects, balancing team capacity, skillsets, and project timelines
- Work closely with the Enablement Team to develop training plans and growth opportunities for team members, promoting cross-functional skill development and career progression
- Partner with the Professional Services PMO leadership to ensure team members meet and maintain high-quality project delivery standards
- Establish best practices, templates, and processes to improve consistency and success in project delivery
- Apply industry best practices to enable customer business success
- Work closely with PMO, Sales, Product Management, Customer Success, and Support teams to align project delivery with business objectives
- Provide implementation services such as system configuration, master data setup, data migration, UAT testing, and end-user training
- Engage in post go-live support to address customer queries and ensure adoption of implemented solutions
- Stay current with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ERP, and Equipment & Rental module updates, leveraging regular feature reviews, service bulletins, and solution documentation
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as team utilization, customer satisfaction, and project resource requests/assignments
- Participate in the company’s global performance review process, aligning with Project Managers to ensure well-rounded feedback for team members
Required Education & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Professional Services leadership roles, preferably within an ERP, SaaS, or Dealer Management System (DMS) environment
- 5+ years of experience in ERP software implementations, preferably in Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, Equipment & Rental, or DMS
- 5+ years of experience in CRM software implementations, preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex ERP projects in industries such as heavy equipment, dealerships, construction, agriculture, or rental services
- Ability to participate in implementations while managing multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Accounting/Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working directly with heavy equipment dealerships or related industries
- Experience with implementing VitalEdge solutions (e-Emphasys and IntelliDealer), Microsoft Dynamics CRM, or competitive solutions
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering or a related field
