We’re looking for someone who deeply understands the equipment rental business and can turn that expertise into trusted customer relationships and new business growth.
This role is focused on driving new logo business within the equipment rental space of the heavy equipment dealership industry. We want someone who understands the operational realities of rental businesses…fleet utilization, downtime, service coordination, contract management, billing, inventory visibility, and what truly drives profitability.

What You’ll Own
Build New Business & Expand Strategic Accounts
This is primarily a hunter role focused on driving net-new business across targeted dealer groups and rental organizations, while also identifying opportunities to grow and expand within select existing customer accounts. You’ll create pipeline through prospecting, relationship development, and strategic account penetration across your territory.
Lead Business Conversations
You won’t just demo software. You’ll help dealerships rethink how they manage rental operations, improve utilization, streamline workflows, and increase profitability.
Run Full-Cycle Sales
Own the process from first outreach through signed agreement, including discovery, demos, business case development, negotiation, and close.
Build Executive Relationships
Engage Dealer Principals, Rental Managers, General Managers, CFOs, and operational leaders across dealership organizations.
Drive Customer Experience Transformation
By improving operational visibility, communication, and responsiveness, you’ll position VitalEdge Technologies as a strategic partner in helping dealers create a faster, more reliable, and more customer-centric rental experience.
Own Territory Strategy
Identify target accounts, create territory plans, and execute with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
Represent VitalEdge Technologies
Attend trade shows, onsite meetings, and industry events while serving as the face of the company within your market
What Success Looks Like
- Consistently building and maintaining qualified pipeline
- Closing net-new logos in competitive environments
- Becoming a trusted advisor to rental and dealership leaders
- Creating momentum and market awareness within your territory
- Exceeding revenue and customer acquisition goals
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 3–7+ years of experience in equipment rental, heavy equipment dealerships, construction technology, or B2B software sales
- Strong understanding of rental operations and dealership workflows
- Proven ability to prospect and win new business
- Comfortable selling to executive and operational stakeholders
- Strong consultative selling and discovery skills
- Ability to translate operational pain points into business value
- High ownership mentality and self-driven approach
Preferred
- Experience selling SaaS or operational software
- Familiarity with ERP, DMS, telematics, fleet, or rental management systems
- Existing relationships within the heavy equipment or rental industry
