This position will play a pivotal role in managing our Private Equity Management Incentive Plan (MIP), driving technical accounting conclusions, and leading ad hoc financial projects.

The ideal candidate has a proactive approach to problem-solving, possesses a strong background in US GAAP and SEC reporting standards, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-task-oriented environment. This is a high-profile, hands-on role that requires the ability to work independently and interface effectively across all levels of the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Technical Accounting & Research: Research and document the Company's technical accounting issues. Prepare high-quality technical accounting memos on complex transactions (including debt, equity, and M&A) to support management conclusions and audit requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of the monthly close and the Company's private company financial statements.
  • Audit Coordination: Present and resolve the Company's positions for critical accounting issues with external auditors. Coordinate the review of filings with auditors, inside/outside legal counsel, and the disclosure committee.
  • Policy & Compliance: Assess and implement new or changes to US GAAP. Draft and update Corporate Accounting Policies as needed throughout the engagement.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Lead special projects as assigned by leadership, which may include system implementations, process improvements to align controls with business risks, and support for strategic initiatives.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education & Experience: B.S./B.A. degree in Finance or Accounting. Minimum of 7–10 years of total experience, with at least 3–4 years of Big 4 public accounting experience required.
  • Certification: CPA highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting background with expert knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
  • PE/Equity Experience: Specific experience managing Equity/MIP programs for Private Equity-backed companies is a significant plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills. A proactive approach to problem identification and remediation.
  • Work Style: Ability to work flexibly and analytically in a problem-solving environment. Must be meticulous with superior attention to detail and capable of working independently to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Work Location: Work from our Mountain View, CA office, hybrid role with 3 days a week in office.

COMPENSATION:

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard pay range for this position across the U.S. is $70 - $100 per hour. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience.
