Our Cloud Security Team team enables Egnyte to safely build scalable cloud infrastructure.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Define and lead cloud security strategy and initiatives across various project and product lines.
  • Perform deep, technical security assessments to enforce secure design principles across our cloud infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve and automate the cloud infrastructure's security posture and practices for efficiency and ease of use.
  • Collaborate with Product and Corporate Security teams as well as Engineering teams to design and implement cloud security solutions.
  • Own and manage the security tools used to secure Egnyte’s multi-cloud environments.
  • Design and build scalable IAM infrastructure to enable fine-grained access controls.
  • Enhance our incident response capabilities.
  • Recommend solutions for improving Egnyte’s security operations (network, identity and access management, infrastructure).
  • Work with the Security Data Governance & Compliance team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 6+ years of total cloud engineering (AWS, Azure, GCP) experience
  • 3+ years of working experience in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-based environment, working in a security-focused role.
  • Thorough understanding of the Cloud Security threat landscape
  • Proven experience leading security architecture reviews, defining technical roadmaps, and driving secure design across multiple engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins) using scripting and Policy as Code frameworks to automate infrastructure hardening.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Deep expertise in Linux internals and distributed systems, with a focus on securing managed Kubernetes clusters and managing complex traffic via WAF, Load Balancing, and standard protocols.
  • Experience deploying, scaling, and maintaining cloud-native security and visibility tools (e.g., Wiz, CrowdStrike, Orca Security), combined with experience in SIEM integration, detection engineering, and automated vulnerability remediation.
  • Good command of English that allows you to effectively communicate and perform your tasks (B2/C1+)
