Since 2006, Oxford Study Courses Australia (part of the Faria group) has been successfully providing support for IB Diploma students. Our highly popular exam revision courses offer IB Diploma students a unique opportunity to revise their subjects in small, highly focused groups, with like-minded students from all over Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia and sometimes, northern hemisphere IB schools.

We are looking for experienced and engaging IBDP subject specialist teachers to teach on our upcoming 2023 exam revision courses in Sydney. The courses run from 26th June – 5th July, with each subject running for 17 ½ hours over 2 ½ days during this period. If available, teachers may be scheduled to teach the same subject twice during the 10 days period.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a range of revision activities are incorporated into the course to keep everyone focused, and intersperse the teaching with advice on exam techniques, question and answer sessions. You will play a significant and highly rewarding role in supporting IBDP students with their exam preparation.

Teachers with expertise in the following IBDP subjects are invited to apply:

  • English Language and Literature HL/SL
  • Economics HL/SL
  • Geography HL/SL
  • History HL/SL
  • Psychology HL/SL
  • Biology HL/SL
  • Chemistry HL/SL
  • Physics HL/SL
  • Maths A&A HL/SL
  • Maths AI HL/SL

Teaching & Learning

  • Applies a variety of teaching and learning strategies that take account of the student’s needs, as identified in student’s completed pre-course questionnaire
  • Plans high quality learning experiences and presents current IBDP subject specific curriculum knowledge
  • Sets clear, challenging and appropriate tasks for students
  • Provides comprehensive and prompt feedback on completed tasks
  • Creates a safe and positive learning environment
  • Communicates any student management issues to OSC Australia General Manager


  • All employees are expected to support Faria policies and procedures relating to the protection of children and all new employees will be asked to complete a safeguarding course
  • An experienced IBDP teacher, with an appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Has at least four years' recent experience teaching the course subject at the level (IB Diploma Programme) specifically relevant to their application.
  • Can motivate, inspire and coordinate a class effectively
