UI/UX Designer (Mat Cover)

Faria is seeking an experienced Product UI/UX Designer (Maternity Coverage) who is passionate about impactful digital experiences, thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and is ready to work hard to transform the EdTech industry.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Design Lead, partnering with one or two product managers and cross-functional teams to design features aligned with business goals and user needs. You’ll leverage user research and testing to inform design direction, ensuring effective and user-centered solutions.
You’ll have the opportunity to design web and mobile applications while contributing to and expanding a cohesive design system. Who You Are:
- You are user-focused, passionate about creating user-centered, intuitive designs that solve real-world problems, and have great design aesthetics and skills. Your designs stand out in that they elegantly solve customer problems.
- You are skilled in building design systems: You see the big picture and can build not just the UX/UI element in front of you but build towards a design system that can scale across the product.
- You are a good communicator. You are comfortable working cross-functionally, translating design ideas into clear, actionable concepts for product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- You have experience designing, shipping, and iterating on real-world products. Ideally, you bring at least 5 years of UX design experience in a tech company.
- You are looking to grow and take on greater responsibilities. You see yourself increasing your scope and impact as you successfully deliver outcomes for our customers and the business.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop UX/UI for web and mobile platforms, contributing to and expanding a cohesive design system – we use Figma & FigJam
- Partner with stakeholders to define goals, understand user needs, and create effective designs
- Conduct user research and testing as needed to guide design direction and iterate based on insights
- Support product planning with strategic design recommendations
- Present and iterate on designs with stakeholders, integrating feedback while maintaining alignment with goals
- Work closely with engineers to refine design scope and produce clear implementation documentation
- Be an essential part of the design team and help establish design culture across the organization
- Contribute to design systems and support the development of new product libraries.
