We are seeking an ambitious, people-focused Global Head of SDR to build, develop, and scale a high-performing global Sales Development team within a fast-growing B2B SaaS company serving the K–12 education sector.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines team management, coaching, operational excellence, and strategic planning. As the Global
Head of SDR, you will be responsible for setting the standard of performance across the SDR function, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and helping team members achieve their full potential.
You will lead a small but growing global team of SDRs while playing a key role in shaping the future structure, processes, and success of the function. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building teams, driving results, and making a meaningful impact in education through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of SDRs across multiple regions and time zones.
- Establish clear performance expectations, accountability frameworks, and development plans.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on excellence, collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, call reviews, and performance assessments.
- Support career progression and talent development within the SDR team.
Team Growth & Recruitment
- Partner with Sales and People teams to recruit, onboard, and train new SDRs.
- Build scalable onboarding and enablement programs that accelerate ramp-up and productivity.
- Identify future team structure and resource needs to support the company's growth objectives.
- Help define role expectations, competencies, and progression pathways as the function expands.
Performance Management
- Own SDR team performance against key metrics, including:
- Qualified meetings booked
- Sales-qualified opportunities generated
- Pipeline contribution
- Conversion rates
- Activity and productivity metrics
- Monitor team performance through reporting, dashboards, and regular business reviews.
- Identify performance gaps and implement targeted coaching and improvement plans.
Strategy & Process Excellence
- Develop and optimise outbound and inbound prospecting strategies targeting K–12 schools, districts, trusts, and education stakeholders.
- Establish and document best practices for prospecting, outreach, qualification, and handoff to Account Executives.
- Drive adoption and effective use of sales tools, CRM systems, and engagement platforms.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to improve lead quality, conversion, and pipeline generation.
Operational Leadership
- Build scalable processes that support a growing global SDR organisation.
- Maintain forecasting and reporting accuracy for the SDR-generated pipeline.
- Analyse team performance data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to annual planning, territory strategy, and go-to-market initiatives.

Within your first 12 months, you will:
- Establish a clear performance culture and consistent operating cadence across the SDR team.
- Improve SDR productivity, quality, and pipeline contribution.
- Successfully recruit and onboard new SDR talent as the team grows.
- Create repeatable processes and playbooks that enable scale.
- Build a highly engaged team that consistently exceeds targets and demonstrates strong professional development.
Requirements
Required
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, or Inside Sales.
- 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing SDR/BDR teams.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding pipeline generation targets.
- Experience building processes, playbooks, and performance frameworks.
- Strong coaching and people-development skills.
- Experience using CRM and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling SaaS environment.
Preferred
- Experience within B2B SaaS.
- Experience selling into K–12 education, education technology (EdTech), or public sector organisations.
- Experience managing distributed or global teams.
- Familiarity with data-driven sales management and revenue operations best practices.
- Experience scaling teams through periods of rapid growth.
