We’re looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join our People & Culture team and drive impactful learning experiences across Fisher Funds.

About the Role

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you’ll collaborate closely with Senior Leaders across the business and alongside the People & Culture team to design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions. Your work will enable individuals and teams to build the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to achieve strategic goals and elevate performance.

You’ll also play a key role in enhancing and building on our professional learning processes and be a key stakeholder supporting project activities that enhance our learning culture.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Design & Development

  • Identify current and future skill gaps, aligning learning priorities with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and develop engaging, high-impact learning solutions tailored to a financial services context.
  • Build structured learning journeys using a mix of digital, in-person, and on-the-job learning. Be able to create content based on (but not limited to): Financial Product Training, Regulatory & Compliance Training, Professional Skills Development, Sales and interacting with Clients Training.

Content Creation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop a variety of learning assets—e-learning modules, workshops, job aids, quick reference guides, and more.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance learning offerings.
  • Champion innovation by introducing new tools, formats, and delivery methods.

Evaluation & Reporting

  • Implement robust evaluation frameworks to measure learning effectiveness and impact.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders using data-driven analysis.
  • Manage and optimise the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring seamless content delivery, user experience, and reporting.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Vendor Management

  • Partner with leaders across departments (Investment Management, Sales, Operations, Compliance) to conduct comprehensive training needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and the People & Culture team to ensure learning initiatives are relevant and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage external training providers when specialised expertise is required.

Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, both virtually and in person.
  • Adapt delivery styles to suit different learning preferences and audience needs.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with strong instructional design and facilitation skills.
  • Background in financial services or investment management (preferred).
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Articulate 360 (a plus).
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices.
