About the Role:

The Senior Manager Wealth will drive the growth, performance, and delivery of wealth advisory services through tailored regional strategies. Working closely with the GM Managed Funds, this role leads the development and execution of strategic plans for the Wellington and South Island markets, attracting new clients, enhancing service offerings, and achieving ambitious growth and performance targets.

You will lead and empower a team of Wealth and Senior Wealth Advisors, ensuring exceptional client experiences, strong regulatory compliance, and alignment with broader organisational priorities. As a pivotal leader in shaping a collaborative, high‑performance culture, you will maximise regional market potential, strengthen the organisation’s presence, and consistently deliver outstanding client outcomes.

As this role covers Wellington and the South Island, we welcome applications from both Wellington and Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development and Execution

  • Develop and implement regional strategies that drive growth and achieve performance targets for our current and prospective Wellington and South Island based Clients.

  • Align regional initiatives with broader organisational goals to ensure cohesive execution and effective use of resources.

  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to refine strategies, capitalise on opportunities, and address emerging challenges.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow market share and enhance the organisation’s presence within the region.

Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead, coach, and empower a team of Wealth and Senior Wealth Advisors to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

  • Maintain robust compliance practices across regional operations, ensuring all advisory activities meet regulatory and organisational requirements.

  • Foster a collaborative, highperformance culture focused on accountability, development, and continuous improvement.

Client Relationship Management

  • Ensure the team builds and maintains strong, long‑term relationships with clients and prospective clients to support regional growth.

  • Oversee the delivery of exceptional client service by guiding the team to respond promptly to client needs and provide tailored wealth solutions.

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the management of private portfolio clients, ensuring the team delivers personalised strategies aligned with client goals and financial objectives.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track and analyse regional performance metrics, providing insights and regular reporting to inform decision making and strategic direction.

  • Set and review performance targets for the team, implementing corrective actions as required to achieve objectives.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining high standards of compliance and operational integrity.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop, and manage highperforming advisory teams within Financial Services.

  • Strong strategic capability, including developing and executing regional growth strategies aligned with organisational goals.

  • Expertise in guiding teams to build strong client relationships and deliver tailored wealth solutions that meet diverse client needs.

  • Commercial acumen, with experience identifying market opportunities and driving initiatives that expand regional presence.

  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance metrics and ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met.

  • Effective resource management, including coordinating across departments to support integrated regional outcomes.

  • Solid understanding of wealth management and industry regulations; Level 5 Financial Services Certificate (Investment Strand) is advantageous.

  • Highly organised, proactive, and resultsdriven, with strong problemsolving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
