About the Role:

We’re looking for a passionate Senior Manager Insights & Data to lead the strategic direction, development, and delivery of Fisher Funds’ enterprise data, analytics, and scope initial AI capabilities. This role is central to unlocking the full potential of our data to drive personalisation, innovation, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

As a key member of the Digital Technology leadership team, you’ll oversee a high-performing technical team and provide expert leadership across data architecture, machine learning, and governance. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to build data maturity and ensure our platforms and insights deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Data & Insights Strategy

  • Develop and lead enterprise data and analytics strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory expectations
  • Champion a data-driven culture and provide strategic insights to executive leadership

Enterprise Data Architecture & Engineering

  • Design and evolve scalable, secure data infrastructure and pipelines
  • Guide data engineering teams in best practices for sourcing, integration, and storage
  • Ensure adoption of fit-for-purpose technologies and platform performance

Advanced Analytics & AI Delivery

  • Lead development of machine learning models to enhance client experience and business outcomes
  • Ensure ethical and responsible use of AI across platforms

Data Quality & Governance

  • Oversee data governance frameworks and quality assurance initiatives
  • Support compliance with privacy, lineage, and reporting obligations
  • Manage strategic partnerships with analytics, AI, and data platform providers

Insights Generation & Visualisation

  • Deliver enterprise reporting, dashboards, and visualisation tools
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for key business teams

What You’ll Need to be Successful in the Role

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years in senior data, analytics, or engineering roles
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary technical teams
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g. financial services) preferred
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Certifications in data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) desirable

Technical & Platform Knowledge

  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, warehousing, and modern platforms
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and engineering best practices
  • Experience delivering advanced analytics for personalisation, segmentation, and forecasting
  • Familiarity with responsible AI and data ethics frameworks

Leadership & Strategy

  • Proven ability to set direction, coach teams, and align technical roadmaps with business strategy
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivery

Governance & Risk Awareness

  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy laws, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with data quality, lineage, and auditability standards
