Job Purpose
We’re seeking an experienced finance leader with a strong commercial mindset, a track record of leading enterprise‑wide planning and transformation, and a pragmatic approach to driving insight‑led decision‑making.
This is a key leadership opportunity to shape the financial future of Fisher Funds. As part of the Finance leadership team, you’ll set the organisation’s long‑term financial direction and ensure planning supports our purpose, vision, and growth goals. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you’ll deliver clear, forward‑looking insights and trusted financial guidance to support confident decision‑making across the business.
You’ll lead the enterprise‑wide planning cycle, overseeing annual budgets, forecasts, and long‑term strategic plans with senior leaders. From reviewing fund and product performance to building practical financial models and reporting, you’ll turn complex information into clear, actionable insights while fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and strong commercial thinking across the FP&A function.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Set and lead the organisation’s long‑term financial direction aligned to enterprise strategy.
- Act as principal finance adviser to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
- Champion a high‑performance FP&A culture focused on excellence and commercial acumen.
Enterprise Planning & Performance Management
- Lead enterprise‑wide budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range strategic planning processes.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models, dashboards, and performance reporting.
- Analyse performance to identify key drivers, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
Commercial Partnership & Decision Support
- Provide strategic commercial advice to senior leaders and business units.
- Evaluate investments, business cases, cost structures, and funding requirements.
- Identify emerging market trends, risks, and opportunities to support proactive decision‑making.
Financial Assurance, Reporting & Governance
- Oversee financial reporting, analytics, and assurance to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and control frameworks.
- Embed strong risk management practices across FP&A and Finance.
Skills & Experience Required:
Leadership & Strategic Influence
- 15+ years’ senior finance leadership experience in complex or highly regulated environments.
- Proven ability to guide executive and Board‑level decision‑making.
- Strong people leadership capability with experience building high‑performing teams.
Financial, Technical & Commercial Expertise
- Deep technical accounting knowledge and experience with enterprise planning and forecasting.
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in investment, FUM, and performance analysis.
- Background in financial services or wealth management environments.
Transformation, Analytics & Insight
- Demonstrated success leading finance transformation and automation initiatives.
- Advanced capability in financial modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and analytics.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in data quality, insights, and reporting tools.
Stakeholder Management & Qualifications
- Highly effective communicator able to engage executives, Boards, auditors, and partners.
- Experience working with regulators, auditors, and outsourced service providers.
- CA, CPA, or equivalent, with a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
