About the role

As Senior Manager, Enterprise Technology & Security, you will drive enterprise technology and information security outcomes, ensuring our platforms, data, and security capabilities are resilient, well‑governed, and aligned to organisational priorities.

This is a senior role operating across strategy and delivery in which you will provide deep leadership across enterprise platforms, infrastructure, and security, translating complex technology and cyber‑security risks into clear, business‑focused insights that enable effective decision‑making. Acting as a key technical advisor, you will balance architectural integrity, security posture, regulatory requirements, and delivery outcomes.

You will mobilise cross‑functional internal teams and specialist vendor partners to design, deliver, and operate secure, scalable enterprise technology solutions that support business growth, regulatory compliance, and long‑term client trust. The role plays a critical part in embedding a security‑first culture across the organisation, while ensuring enterprise technology services are reliable, fit for purpose, and positioned for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Technology & Security Leadership

  • Provide senior technical leadership across enterprise technology platforms, infrastructure, and information security domains.
  • Own the technical integrity, resilience, and security of enterprise systems, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex technology and security issues, providing authoritative technical guidance and decision making.
  • Champion secure-by-design principles across all enterprise technology initiatives.

Architecture, Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise technology and security strategies aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Establish and maintain strong architectural and security governance frameworks, ensuring consistency, control, and risk visibility.
  • Translate complex technical and cybersecurity risks into clear, business-focused recommendations for executive and Board-level forums.
  • Ensure enterprise technology and security decisions are well informed, evidence-based, and aligned with long-term strategy.

Information Security & Risk Management

  • Provide leadership over information security practices, controls, and assurance activities.
  • Ensure technology and security controls protect customer data, support regulatory compliance, and maintain customer trust.
  • Oversee security risk identification, assessment, and treatment across enterprise systems and third party services.
  • Lead responses to significant technology or security incidents, ensuring clear communication, effective remediation, and continuous improvement.

Delivery & Vendor Management

  • Mobilise and lead cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to deliver complex enterprise technology and security outcomes.
  • Provide technical oversight of vendor solutions, ensuring architectural alignment, security standards, and operational resilience.
  • Hold vendors accountable for service quality, security posture, and delivery outcomes.

People Leadership & Capability Uplift

  • Lead and develop a high performing team of enterprise technology and security specialists.
  • Build strong technical capability, mentoring leaders and specialists to lift enterprise maturity over time.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Skills & Experience

Enterprise Technology & Security Expertise

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise technology and/or information security functions within complex, regulated environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise platforms, infrastructure, and security architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance security, resilience, delivery, and business enablement.

Technical Leadership & Decision-making‑aking

  • Proven experience providing authoritative technical leadership and influencing decisions at executive and Board level.
  • Ability to rapidly understand complex technical issues and articulate risk, options, and trade-offs clearly.
  • Experience embedding governance, architectural discipline, and security standards across large technology estates.

Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement

  • Strong track record of working with senior leaders, risk, legal, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Experience managing strategic vendor relationships and evaluating third party technology and security solutions.
  • Ability to translate deeply technical concepts into language that supports confident business decision-making.
