About the role
As a CRM Solution Engineer, you’ll be a technical expert within our Digital Technology team, responsible for optimising and governing Fisher Funds’ Salesforce CRM platform. You’ll ensure the platform is secure, highly available and scalable, while enabling teams to deliver exceptional client service and trusted outcomes.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll play a key part in solution design, delivery and ongoing support. You’ll set technical standards, review work, coach others and make sound architectural trade-offs to keep the platform reliable, supportable and sustainable.
Working closely with Product Owners and a wide range of stakeholders across the business, you’ll proactively identify and resolve complex issues, manage technical risk and debt, and drive continuous improvement across our CRM environment.
Key responsibilities
Platform leadership & solution delivery

Own the technical health of the Salesforce CRM platform, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability and resilience

Lead and contribute to end-to-end solution design across new initiatives and enhancements

Establish and maintain platform standards, patterns and best practices to support long-term sustainability

Review designs and technical solutions, providing guidance and assurance on quality and architectural alignment

Make informed architectural trade-offs that balance business needs, risk and platform sustainability
Operational excellence, security & continuous improvement

Proactively monitor platform performance and diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Safeguard customer and business data through strong security, privacy and access controls

Identify technical risks, constraints and debt early, implementing pragmatic mitigation strategies

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability, supportability and user experience
Collaboration, coaching & stakeholder engagement

Partner closely with Product Owners, delivery teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear technical outcomes

Provide clear, practical advice on technical options and impacts to support informed decision-making

Coach and support others within the team, sharing knowledge and lifting overall technical capability
Skills & Experience:

Strong hands-on experience designing, building and supporting scalable Salesforce CRM solutions, with a solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security and integration patterns

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, balancing hands-on delivery with sound architectural decision-making

Demonstrated experience managing technical risk and debt, making pragmatic trade-offs that support long-term platform sustainability

Strong focus on security, privacy and access controls, ideally within a regulated or data-sensitive environment

Experience working closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into clear, effective technical solutions

Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
