About the role
We're looking for a commercially minded and relationship-driven leader to join our Distribution team as Senior Manager Distribution.
This is an influential leadership role responsible for expanding Fisher Funds' presence within the financial adviser community and broader investment industry. You'll develop and strengthen strategic relationships with adviser businesses, banking partners, and key industry stakeholders, helping position Fisher Funds as a preferred managed investment provider.
Working closely with Business Development Leads and internal stakeholders, you'll assist growth initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and deepen adviser relationships to support the acquisition, retention, and growth of funds under management. This role also provides leadership to the Distribution Support team, fostering capability, operational excellence, and a high-performance culture.

Key responsibilities
Relationship Management & Partnerships
- Build and strengthen relationships with advisers, consultants, platform providers, employers, and banking partners.
- Own key adviser channel relationships and support strategic banking partnerships.
- Drive partner performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Business Development & Growth
- Drive product adoption across adviser and banking channels.
- Support client acquisition, retention, and FUM growth initiatives.
- Identify new opportunities and maximise existing partnerships.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve growth targets.
- Lead marketing and sales support initiatives to enhance channel performance.
Product, Training & Market Engagement
- Deliver product presentations and training to advisers and partners.
- Promote Fisher Funds' products and value proposition to key stakeholders.
- Gather market insights and adviser feedback to support product and service improvements.
- Maintain current industry, market, and product knowledge.
Strategic Leadership & Channel Development
- Provide strategic leadership across the adviser and banking channels.
- Champion and evolve the distribution strategy to support sustainable growth.
- Lead channel improvement initiatives, including digital and operational enhancements.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the Distribution Support team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build team capability to support business growth and operational excellence.
Governance, Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Maintain oversight of adviser contracts and contractual obligations.
- Uphold best-practice standards across all channel activities.
Skills & Experience
Industry & Technical Expertise
- Strong experience in financial services distribution, business development, adviser relationship management, or channel leadership.
- Sound understanding of managed investments, KiwiSaver, wealth management, and the New Zealand financial advice landscape.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices.
- Ability to identify market opportunities and translate insights into commercial outcomes.
Relationship Management & Commercial Acumen
- Proven ability to develop and manage strategic relationships with financial advisers, banking partners, and key industry stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success driving business growth, increasing funds under management, and delivering commercial outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term planning with delivery of day-to-day business objectives.
