Gamma CAE Technologies Pvt Ltd, is a wholly-owned Indian subsidiary of Gamma Technologies, LLC located in Pune. The Indian subsidiary carries out the support, marketing, and sales operations for the Indian region. The parent company was established in 1994, and is headquartered in Westmont, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago).
Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. With roots in Automotive, nearly all the world’s leading automotive manufacturers leverage GT software. Our solutions help automotive companies build more fuel-efficient vehicles that get better gas mileage while reducing emissions without sacrificing vehicle performance. The move from traditional internal combustion engines (ICE) powered by gasoline or diesel fuel to electrified vehicles presents an enormous market opportunity for GT as our software allows Electrical Vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers, to design better vehicles with our software. Regulatory agencies globally have mandated that vehicle manufacturers reduce harmful environmental emission output, or they will face significant financial penalties and GT helps our clients meet these mandates. In addition to Automotive, GT serves the Aerospace, HVAC, and Marine industries by working with companies.
Position Summary
This Senior Accountant will report to an Assistant Controller at the US corporate office. We are looking for someone who will primarily be responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable processes globally, and who may occasionally handle some ad hoc projects. As we grow, this role will evolve and play a key part in expanding our accounting shared services support operations in India
Job Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable: Payments application, recording and collecting receivables. Ensuring that billings are collected in a timely manner and managing aged receivables.
- Processing vendor invoices globally through our Tipalti A/P automation platform. Review all accounts payable functions, including, but not limited to, verifying that invoices are appropriately coded by account and department as necessary and have the proper approval level before submission for payment.
- Manage the processing of expense reporting globally through our global expense platform (Tipalti expense)
- Support in recording, processing, and reconciling other global accounts such as fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other assets.
- Assist US Corporate office in preparation of A/R and A/P account reconciliations and required adjusting entries as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as required or requested
Education, Experience, and Skills
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Master’s degree in a related field is highly preferred; desired GPA is 8/10.
- A minimum of five years of prior accounting experience.
- CPA or Chartered Accountant certification is preferable.
- Experience in global operations supporting a US HQ parent entity.
- Experience using NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well with diverse personalities; must be tactful, mature, and flexible.
