What You Will Do
You will work with the GT-SUITE development and product teams to deliver top-quality software to our users. Throughout the software development lifecycle, you will create, document, maintain, and perform manual tests to ensure minimal shipped defects and timely fixes due to ongoing development. When appropriate, managing automated tests will also ensure high-quality software, however, manual testing is expected to be the primary responsibility. Functional, integration, and acceptance testing will be a key part of the job. The role will involve both UI/UX aspects and tool integration/co-simulation (solver) aspects of GT-SUITE.
- Verify implementation of XiL-related features, such as Matlab/Simulink coupling, FMI/FMU import and export, and user code import
- Perform regular full regression testing of XiL-related features
- Ensure that released software meets desired high-quality standards
- Maintain and enhance existing testing scripts to ensure full coverage of the software as features are updated, developed from time to time
- Collaborate with development, product, and build teams to ensure a seamless and transparent XiL product build process
- Log the issues found in the software to Gamma’s development database and follow up with developers to test once these are fixed
- Help determine when issues were introduced into the software
- Monitor automated tests and take action to resolve issues when they are flagged
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a desired GPA of 8.75/10 or higher
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in MATLAB/Simulink and Python
- Hands-on experience in working on Linux Operating System
- Minimum of 3 years of proficiency with Software Testing / QA methodology, process, and deliverables
- Experience with test management systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation
- Ability and willingness to work from 3 pm to 11.59 pm IST to allow collaboration with global teams
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Familiarity with model compilers (Visual Studio or GCC)
- Familiarity with Co-simulation and Software-in-the-Loop applications (e.g. FMI, XCP)
- Exposure to Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems, such as dSpace, NI, Concurrent, and Speedgoat
- Certification in software testing
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, for building and deploying software packages
- Experience with enterprise-level CAE applications like GT-SUITE
