Position Summary

We're looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to serve as a trusted financial partner to the VP of Finance in a recurring-revenue software business serving the public sector. You'll own budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and turn financial and operational data into clear insight that guides decisions across product, sales, services, and support. This will be a highly visible role in the company, and the ideal candidate will bring experience in financial modeling, strong business partnering skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced PE-backed environment with rigorous reporting cadences and a strong sense of excitement and ownership in growing their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial models for revenue, costs, headcount, and cash flow, including scenario and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions across 6 entities in Vena + Excel.
  • Help facilitate the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment between departmental spend and our long-term strategic goals.
  • Own forecasting of recurring revenue (ARR/MRR), and maintenance of the revenue cube including new bookings, renewals, expansion, and churn, alongside implementation and professional-services revenue.
  • Produce monthly management reporting packages with variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) and clear narrative explanations of the drivers.
  • Support cash flow forecast and treasury reporting.
  • Partner with Accounting on month-end close, ensuring forecasts reconcile to actuals and supporting subscription revenue recognition under ASC 606.
  • Support strategic M&A through the financial modelling and integration process.
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting automation to increase speed and accuracy.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and presentations for executive leadership and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of FP&A, investment banking, PE, or corporate finance experience
  • Experience with Vena, Adaptive, Anaplan, or a comparable FP&A platform.
  • Experience with an ERP (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar) and the close-to-report workflow
  • Advanced Excel/financial modeling skills, including building and maintaining dynamic, multi-driver models.
  • Skills in prompting AI systems and assessing output quality, and ability to leverage AI to ideate, develop, and scale.
  • Strong command of financial statements and the relationships among the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Excellent attention to detail paired with the ability to see the bigger strategic picture.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS or software business, ideally with a subscription/recurring-revenue model.
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR/MRR, NRR/GRR, churn, CAC, LTV) and subscription revenue recognition under ASC 606.
  • CPA, CMA, CFA, or MBA.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus
  • Very competitive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 20 Days of PTO and holidays
  • Professional development and certification support
  • Mission-driven work that helps local governments better serve their communities
