Description

As a Debt/Lender Business Development Specialist specializing in the debt/lending community, you will be a vital member of our sales team, responsible for driving revenue growth through client acquisitions from named account group within the debt and lending sector. This role requires a deep understanding of lending products and services, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and support Green Street’s product roadmap for the debt/lender community.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Development: Prioritize named accounts within the debt and lending community, including banks, credit unions, insurance companies, private lenders, and other financial institutions. Develop and execute strategic plans to engage decision-makers and influencers, with a focus on driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Client Acquisition: Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, leveraging your expertise in debt/lending market and services to articulate value propositions and address client needs. Develop customized proposals and presentations that demonstrate Green Street’s unique value proposition and competitive advantage.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing named prospects, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Act as the primary point of contact for all prospect inquiries, and escalations, ensuring high levels of engagement and pipeline velocity.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments within the lending community. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats, providing valuable insights to inform business strategy and decision-making within the debt/lending segment.
  • Primary Liaison w/ Product Management: As a lender specialist, you will actively work with Product to understand and capture client pain points and areas of opportunity while in the field. Engage in a collaborative process to validate and test new product ideas/features in market and iterate w/ Product Managers to build and improve lender focused solutions and roadmap.
  • Cross-Functional GTM Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing and customer success, to ensure alignment of sales efforts and sales targets. Develop a process to deliver input and feedback to internal stakeholders to influence pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, as well as other key performance indicators (KPIs). Track and report on sales activities, pipeline creation, and revenue forecasts using CRM tools and dashboards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales roles, with a focus on the debt/lending industry.
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets in a B2B, subscription business.
  • Deep understanding of competitive CRE lending products and services, as well as use within key customer types.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with senior executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to understand complex financial models and market dynamics.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Linkedin, Zoominfo, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales productivity tools.
  • Authorization to work in the United States now and in the future, without visa or sponsorship requirements.

Working Conditions: The Lender Business Development Representative will work indoors in an air-conditioned office building and must be able to remain stationary at a desk and computer for a majority of the day.

Salary Description
$120,000 - $150,000 base, $240,000 - $300,000 OTE
