Description

Green Street is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented People Assistant who will work closely with the global People & Culture team to perform various HR operational tasks for countries in the EU. Responsibilities include managing insurance and benefit programs, fielding general employee questions, and partnering with various internal teams (payroll, IT, admin etc.) to support employee lifecycle management.

This role provides great exposure to full cycle People Operations within a growing, global organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Management & Payroll Administration Support
  • Administer employee benefits and insurance programs in various countries including private medical insurance, multisport cards, meal vouchers, life insurance, pension plans etc.
  • Maintain various internal & external benefits and insurance systems including processing enrollments, terminations and other applicable changes
  • Coordination with external vendors and brokers to troubleshoot benefits queries
  • Provide support with administrative benefits tasks such invoice reconciliation, discrepancy resolution and invoice approvals
  • Partner with People Operations Manager on annual insurance renewal & re-enrollment process
  • Collaborate with the global payroll team to support payroll processing in various countries including collecting new hire and termination data as well as providing updated pay and deduction changes

Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Work within internal systems and tools (Paylocity, Ben, Freshservice) to streamline the employee lifecycle (onboarding, benefits enrollment, performance management, time off tracking, offboarding)
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including physical and electronic files
  • Support local HR Managers throughout the leave of absence process including providing guidance on leave entitlements and ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Organize, maintain, and audit personnel records
  • General administrative work as needed
  • Act as a point of contact for various employee questions such as benefits, leaves of absences, performance reviews, time off requests etc.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a benefits coordinator or HR generalist
  • Knowledge of HR systems and tools
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables etc.)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) in team environments and with company stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Bulgarian Labour law is a must, familiarity with other EU labour laws (Holland, Belgium) is a plus
  • Fluent English & Bulgarian, Dutch is a plus
  • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot a broad range of issues and find resolutions
  • Ability to stay organized while juggling conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

The current offer:

  • Hybrid working model - 2 days per week - home office, 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our office at Polygraphia Office Center, Sofia, Bulgaria
  • Working hours – 11 am – 8 pm EEST ( 3 days/week for the first 6-12 months) – you need to work with our West Coast US People and Culture team. 9 am - 6 pm (2 days/week)
