Position Overview
This role will support the business in a major transformation program at Green Street which encompasses several aspects:
- Several phases of re-platforming a product across more than one front/back end
- Creation of new product offerings
- Repackaging of existing product offerings for a new audience
- Improving the UI/UX of the platform and adding data analytics, dashboards, tools and aggregation
- Strategy – pivoting the business to broaden the type of customers it supports
- All of the commercial components such as sales, marketing and revenue operations
There is a medium sized team of Technical Product Managers (TPMs) working on the project and they are responsible for business analysis, documenting business requirements and producing technical requirements. The large technology function is responsible for product development.
The Project is led by the Global Transformation Officer, working closely with the Product Director for Infrastructure, and they bring together a wide range of functions for program delivery, from product and tech, through to new business sales, account management, marketing, revenue operations, finance, legal, editorial, data and research/analytics.
This new Senior Project Manager role will work with all stakeholders, reporting to the Global Transformation Officer and working closely with the Product Director. These two subject matter experts require support from a Senior Project Manager to meet tight deadlines, to ensure the project runs on time and to plan.
Note that a very large workforce at Green Street is already working on the project so this role must fit into the project and add value, bringing the various elements together. Work with the project methodology that the Tech team already works to, or influence business requirements that the TPM team are responsible for. To that end a clear delineation of responsibilities will be drawn up between roles. The Senior Project Manager is more business and commercial in focus, than tech or product focused.
