Description

Healix, LLC is currently hiring an Junior Staff Accountant to join our corporate Accounting team in Sugar Land, TX! This is an on-site position. Only local candidates will be considered.

The Junior Staff Accountant will join our close-knit team at the corporate office during normal business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Ideal candidates will have a background in healthcare, be detail oriented, experience with client and company financial statement preparations, and an understanding of accounting practices in the areas of medical drug wholesale and management fees billable services. Our unique business-model offers interested candidates in an exciting opportunity to learn and lead in accounting.

Primary duties include the following:

  • Financial Integrity: Ensure that all activities adhere to U.S. GAAP, company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Policy Enhancement: Collaborate on the implementation of controls, policies, and procedures to support the company's growth and expansion objectives.
  • Month-End Mastery: Lead month-end close entries, reconciliations and accruals, meeting established deadlines and bolstering financial statement accuracy.
  • Financial Compliance: Oversee and assist with year-end financial statement audit and financial partner audits and compliance.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with completion of comprehensive monthly financial statements for various management levels.
  • Business Collaboration: Partner closely with business unit leaders, conducting trend analyses, budget-to-actual variance assessments, and addressing discrepancies.
  • Special Projects: Collaborate with the CFO and Director on special projects, showcasing your expertise and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate from an accredited university/college with an Accounting degree.
  • Zero to two years related experience.
  • Must be local to the Houston metropolitan area
